Permits from the building inspector are necessary for the installation of any and all alternative fuel burning appliances. Including, but not limited to wood, coal, pellet, corn, and any other fuels. These permits and inspections are preferred by many insurance carriers.
For questions regarding older stoves, stoves that are currently installed, and to obtain a permit for a new stove contact the building inspector's office at 822-9156.
The Western Coventry Fire District is requesting bids for performing an audit of the district’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending February 28, 2021 with the option of auditing the financial statements for two additional years. Bid packages may be obtained at the fire station at 1110 Victory Highway, Greene RI or by e-mail by calling the fire district at 401-397-7520. All bids must be received by the District Clerk at the fire station located at 1110 Victory Highway, Greene, RI by 7:00pm on March 9, 2021.
