Fuel Burning Appliances

Permits from the building inspector are necessary for the installation of any and all alternative fuel burning appliances. This includes but not limited to wood, coal, pellet, corn, and any other fuels. These permits and inspections are preferred by many insurance carriers. For questions regarding older stoves, stoves that are currently installed, and to obtain a permit for a new stove contact the building inspector’s office at 401-822-9156.
